The mangoes finally ripened – (well, perhaps they even over-ripened a wee bit). In the process of documenting them – with the sole purpose of following up on the fruit thread I began earlier in the week – I discovered the seemingly inherent difficulty of photographing this particular fruit. Too orange? Too juicy? I’m not exactly sure, but suffice it to say that these Indian mangoes tasted a whole lot sweeter and fruitier and exotic than they may seem to appear here.
