Hello from the early days of Spring. Granted, the past 24 hours in NYC have included rain, hail, snow, thunder and lightening (otherwise referred to as thundersnow). Regardless, Spring is in the air – days are lighter, brighter and warmer, flowers have started to bloom and March still has one more week in which to shape up into a darling little lamb. In the meantime, a couple of notes.
✿ I am happy to be joining the Edible Queens Blog as a contributing blogger! I will be posting about various topics that are food- and Queens-related. Please visit the blog – there are many different contributors posting about lots of different topics.
✿ I am attending the No Farms, No Food Rally & Lobby Day in Albany, NY on Wednesday, March 30th. It will be a wonderful opportunity to lobby State legislators to preserve valuable farm land in New York State! I will be blogging about the event for Edible Queens. If anyone is free (yes, it is a weekday) and interested in going, there are free busses leaving round trip from Union Sq. Join me! Click here for more information.
✿ I have done a bit of spring cleaning around here – an update of the overall design, as well as a new header (that’s romanesco broccoli, by the way). Let me know what you think! I’d love to hear from you, please drop me a line – either in the comment section or at eatartword (at) earthlink (dot) net.
I very much like the new header with those spiny and animal-like broccoli.
Good luck at the Albany rally!
thanks!
