We are currently hovering between two seasons: citrus and Spring. While I’m ready for the arrival of Spring weather (very ready), I am going to miss citrus fruit. A lot.
With that in mind, I’ve been eating more than my fair share of citrus lately – mineola oranges, juice oranges, pink grapefruits, tangerines, blood oranges. Juicy, bright, orange+yellow+pink+red, tart, sweet, acidic. To peel, to slice, to drink, to eat, to quench. Before the arrival of next season’s fruits – rhubarb, strawberries – have an orange!
